We take the protection of your personal details throughout the process extremely seriously. We want you to feel safe when visiting our web pages.

We explain below what information we will record here during your visit to our web pages and how we will use this information.

Personal data

Personal data are individual pieces of information concerning the personal or material circumstances of a particular or determinable natural person. They include information such as your name, address, telephone number and date of birth. Information that is not directly connected to your actual identity - such as your favourite sites or the number of users of a page - are not classed as personal data.

Collection and processing of personal data

When you visit our web pages, our web servers normally store temporarily for the purposes of system security the connection details of the requesting computer, the web pages that you visit here, the date and the duration of the visit, the identification details of the type of browser and operating system used and the web page from which you visit us. Any additional personal details, such as your name, address, telephone number or email address, will not be recorded unless you provide this information voluntarily, e.g. in order to apply for membership, in membership matters, RAL quality assurance agreements or requests for information.

Use and transmission of personal data

We will use the personal data you provide solely for the purposes of the technical administration of the web pages and in order to meet your requests and requirements, i.e. generally to process the contract concluded with you or to respond to your query or manage your membership.

Your personal data will not be transmitted, sold or otherwise passed on to third parties unless this is essential for the purposes of processing a contract or you have given your express consent. It may, for instance, be necessary for us to give your address and order details to our suppliers if you order products from us. This may also apply if we send you as a member of the association documents or publications etc. as part of our member support activities.

Information from the Gütegemeinschaft

We would like to be able to contact you in order to inform you of offers and other new services.

Use of web tracking software

We use tracking software in order to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of our website. This software does not record any personal data or IP addresses. The data will be used solely in anonymised and summary form for statistical purposes and for the development of the website.

Use of cookies

"Cookies" are small files that enable us to store information specific to you, the user, on your PC while you are visiting one of our websites. Cookies help us to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of our web pages and to make our services to you as convenient and efficient as possible.

We use what are known as session cookies, which are stored temporarily only for as long as you use one of our web pages. We also use permanent cookies in order to record information about visitors who access one of our web pages repeatedly. The reason for using these cookies is that they enable us to offer you optimum user guidance, to "recognise" you and to present you with the most varied web pages and new content that we can if you return repeatedly. The content of a permanent cookie is limited to an identification number. The name, IP address, etc. are not stored. No profile of your individual user behaviour will be established.

Our website can also be visited without cookies. You can disable the storage of cookies on your browser, limit them to certain websites or change your browser settings so that it informs you as soon as a cookie is sent. You can delete cookies from the hard disk of your PC at any time ("Cookies" folder). Please note, however, that such a change may affect the way in which the website is displayed or limit its functionality.
